President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Professor Mahmud Yakubu as chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).
Professor yakubu’s nomination and those of five other national electoral commissioners, which have been approved by the council of state, are tobe forwarded to the national assembly for confirmation.
The decision was taken after Thursday’s council of state meeting held at the state house, Abuja.
